Most Boneheaded Play Since 2000

On a side note, I have some funny video from that game with great crowd reaction after Dejuan's punt return late in the 4th that I'll try to post later tonight. Listening to Junior is pretty entertaining as well but he probably wouldn't want me posting that stuff.
Thanks Bean. I couldnt recall for sure them minute details. There was a lot of shaky goings-on in that 2002 season. Seemed like everything from losing to misexecution was just so much unchartered waters for players, coaches, fanbases, e'rrbody.

Here's some of my excellent camera work from the Texas game in 2002. I don't know who that crazy guy was behind me, but I like him.

I know, it's f'ing terrible footage. It's amazing how that game took me to such a huge high, and such a bitter low within a matter of 90 seconds. Damn you Texas!(shakes fist at sky)

In my defense, cameras were bigger and harder to operate back then.

I was there too Bean. Row 6, North side. Remember all the folks that left with a little over 3 minutes left when Texas went back up by 10? My parents were two of them. I bet well over 10K left at that point and it was comical how many tried to get back to their seats when we scored so quickly and Texas was lining up to punt. That game was also a perfect example of why in hell are people so eager to get out of the stadium.

I honestly don't remember anyone leaving from that game. I had faith we'd come through even when they went back up. A victory in that game would have made that season a lot easier to handle.

One that was avoided was Joe Ganz taking a 15 yard sack setting up a 57 yard field goal instead of a 42 yarder. Turned out to be one of my favorite plays of all time, but I remember saying every cuss word I know directed at Ganz. This was before we knew Henery had a leg, so I thought it was over. I love the Ganz but I still don't know why he didn't throw it away.

Dailey running out of bounds is the worst to me. It was similar to Jamal throwing a pick in the endzone, but at least he was trying to make a play. JD just didn't want to get hit.

I don't remember a lot people leaving that game either. I do remember NU playing really well and Chris Simms playing the absolute best game of his whole career.

Should just nominate the entire '09 Iowa State game. I remember joking to my brother halfway through the 3rd that we might end up with more turnovers than points. Wouldn't that be hilarious??

And then it actually happened
The crazy thing about that game for me was that I found our performance more comical than disappointing. Sure I didn't like our loss but the fluky errors were amazing.
that was a surreal nightmare. I was at this game and couldn't believe my eyes. ISU had like 140 yards of total offense. They completed 1 long pass and NU has 8 TO's and loses.

There were quite a bit that took off right after Texas scored their last td with a little over 3 minutes left to go back up by ten. And by quite a bit, I mean a lot. But like I said, by the time we got the quick score back and held Texas to a quick 3 and out, the exits were full of fans trying to get back in.

As great of fans as we are, there are still quite a high number that really cannot wait to get out of the stadium for whatever reason. I know a couple of guys that have season tickets, and they very seldom even go in. They just hang out at the tailgate the whole game. I dont make any sense to me. That place is my second home. I love bein there. I'm there 45 minutes to and hour before kickoff and dont leave until the final second ticks off. I have another friend who goes to every home game but cant remember the last time he did see the tunnel walk. It's just mind boggling.
