Fox Sports Live

I am always in favor of the network (ESPN) getting some competition and Fox Sports Live, the Fox Sports 1 version of Sportscenter, may end up being a good product. Right now... not so much. Some of that was painful to watch.

Give it time. Hopefully it gets better. I can't stand ESPN. All it is anymore is about sports drama. "Greg Jennings said this about Aaron Rodgers". "Lebron James uses police escort to get to Justin Timberlake concert" "Johnny Manziel Johnny Manziel Johnny Manziel Johnny Manziel" and so on.

I really hope somebody steps up their game to get ESPN off so much of the market.

How about the SEC Storied program ESPN runs on daily basis. Or should I say on daily bias. chuckleshuffle

Their anchors were terrible. I could only watch for about five minutes and that included the round-table part.

This. And HOPE it gets better from here........

They did not make the splash they needed to. This thud is going to hurt them. That first show was just painful and awkward. I'm hoping their talent that is commentating on actual sporting events isn't as bad.

Meanwhile I'm trying to youtube Sportscenter's first episode......

Give it time guys. It's gonne work. There's a PLENTY of folks out there who want an alternative to ESPN.

True. But how many SportsCenter type shows were there 30 years ago and how many are there today? Not exactly apples-to-apples.

For all the build up, you would think that they could have at least come up with competent anchors. They make the play-by-play guys on Fox Pay Per View sounds like Pat Summerall. Just because people want an alternative doesn't mean they'll listen to a third-rate show just because it's different.

This isn't for FSL, but on FS1 they have a show called "Crowd Goes Wild."

And they have a Tebow jar:

I like Regis as much as anyone but he really should talk about sports when on a sports network.
Have you heard some of the shows on ESPN. They go off topic quite a bit, especially on my favorite show, Highly Questionable....

Anyways, competition with be good for both networks. It will force Fox to go to great lengths to top ESPN, and it will (hopefully) allow ESPN to quit being lazy with their programming....
