Mack Brown a Husker ???

It would be tough to say if Brown would of been a good hire here. He can recruit out of his own backyard, but Nebraska does not have very many D1 kids to choose from. But it really does us no good to argue about it. We have our coach now, and he will lead us back to the promise land.

Thank God that hiring Stoops never worked out.He's a whiner, and doesn't have the high level of integrety their fans want to believe.

Yeah at the time Mack was available but thank goodness TO stopped that and kept Franky around. All and all forget it, they got who they got and we have who we have. We are making huge strides we have an AD that actually cares about this program and made a choice to get a guy that will Win and thats all this fan base wants. Winning with class is key of course.

Very interesting story. Makes me wonder a bit... but not too much! I'm glad we've went with Franky and gave him a chance (if not a short one) and I'm happy with Callahan. I won't spend much time thinking about this one, but it's worth noting.

The Husker legacy is just fine the way it is. Mack Brown might look "hot and sexy" to the media and such since he has won a national championship. Yet with the resources, facilities, and recruiting base Texas has they should be win it every year. That's why they play the games.

You think we are getting those recruits?? I think that we are getting USC,UCLA,Cal,Texas, rejects. I wish we could go recruit in SEC country for our defense.

Mac Brown was in the fan's doghouse down here (Texas) until he finally beat OU last year, then went on to ride the tail of Vince "superfreak" Young to the National Championship. He speaks like a politician, and whines a lot. To me, he seemed content with 10 win seasons and no championships. B/C that's better than he did at UNC. Every year they are among the top 5/10 in recruiting, and only one stinkin trophy? The Horn's can keep him.
I do like Stoops in some ways though.

Well we will just have to see what you say after the 2007 recruiting class!!!! There are some good recruits in there and with NU returning back to the spotlight some it will help that much more.....If we make it to the Big 12 Champ game on Dec. 2nd and win you can bet we'll get some major recruits!!!
