About what I expected out of this game, defense looks great, but, you know, it's Purdue.

I think that's key right there. There are always going to be high hits and there will be plays when the ball carrier ducks or lowers himself to brace for the hit putting the defender in a bad spot.

Yeah, well I literally have yet to talk to anyone who feels the automatic ejection for "targeting" is a good thing. And I can't even recall hearing any of the talking heads thinking it was a good rule change. It seems to be a universally hated change to the rules.

It's certainly a stupid rule. But if they're going to keep it, they really need to revamp it and make it less subjective

Should not be an immediate ejection unless it's blatant. Let the office look at the film for ejections at the least.
