You can only be stabbed so many times for so long before you completely bleed out and we've been getting stabbed year in year out for 12 years. The last thing this program needs is an apathetic fan base that has completely forgotten their roots. We are losing everything that made our program special, better act now before it is too late. You know Minnesota used to have quite the winning tradition too until things went down hill and they never got off the mat. Don't assume the same can't happen to us.

Counters to those arguments
1) How about the promising talent on offense that has fallen apart? Quality Senior starters at all positions on the offense yet we can't score more than 24 against a terrible Minnesota defense?
2) The odds of us losing out with or without Bo is pretty slim. I think the team will do better without Bo because I believe the coaches aren't all on the same page.
3) Most programs run clean ships. I mean hell we're not winning anything important? Most coaches can lose and keep their program clean.
4) How about Wyoming? Are they a decent team? They're 4-4 and 4th in their DIVISION of the mountain west.
5) Not every hire is a good one. Sometimes it's better to cut your losses and start over.

After the camera panned around on the Nebraska bench during the third quarter and all of this kids are just sitting there pouting, I was done with Bo. I have NEVER seen our sidelines that pathetic since the Callahan days when they just expected to lose. I think I was more upset at the lack of heart and/or fire in our kids. It does seem that this team just wants to go with the flow and accept whatever is given to them. They don't want to fight to be better and that lack of fire/heart rests solely on the coaching staff. If they can't get our guys up for a game, then they shouldn't be coaching and making over a million a year.

1. Very Promising talent. But, for example, just take a look at a few players we currently have, or are gone. Such as Jason Ankrah, Chase Rome, Corey Cooper, Charles Jackson, Todd Peat, Jr., etc. All these players were high ceiling potential players that never (some still have time) fully developed, so I guess my question for you is, what makes you think that these freshman that are currently in the system are going to develop more efficiently than those who are about out, or have gone through the system already?
2. I do agree with you here to a certain extent, but that is mainly because I do not know who would be our interim head coach. Recruiting would still take a hit if we fired him at the end of the year, so we shouldn't worry about that, and we have enough talent on our team to get at least one more win to become bowl eligible with Bo or not.
3. No complaints here. 100% agree with you. Very satisfied with keeping the ship clean.
4. That is the problem. It is our COACHES duty to make sure the players are prepared physically and mentally for ANY team. Whether it be the children of the blind or goliath. Our players must be prepared to take on the world. For them to look over a 5-2 Minnesota team is 100% the coaches fault. How you can say that is a reason Bo should stay is beyond me.
5. Loyal? Bo has tried reaching out to multiple programs (Whether you want to believe that or not, I don't care). I hate to turn into a "revolving door program" as well but, how can you tell me this is the coach that you want to have on our sidelines? I have supported Bo since day one, but I can't take this anymore. We are beginning to set our tents up in oblivion, and it is time for a change.

If we have promising talent on defense, why the hell did it just get run over by Minnesota and why is it so damn hard to just line up in a base defense and PLAY? All the motion had our players scratching their heads, and no one had an answer.
As far as I'm concerned, I'd be much more apt to take another shot on a coach who has a chance to come in and have success right away or very soon than to sit around twiddling our thumbs, waiting for Bo to finally figure things out. Inconsisitency has always been a hallmark of the Pelini era teams here, and it will continue to be for the foreseeable future, I think. I don't think Bo will likely put it all together for a long time, if he ever does, and thus we should sack the guy.
Eichorst can find someone else to run a clean program. Between his angry outbursts his first few years and the tape scandal, he's embarassed our university enough. It's time for Bo to kick bricks.
Why wasn't the team aware Minnesota was a good team? Who does that responsibility fall on?
Loyalty means nothing if we keep underacheiving and the rest of the nation thinks we're a laughingstock mid-tiered team.
There's a pervasive psychological problem that affects the entire team. It's been here since about 2011 (if not earlier... If I'm wrong please correct me). Our team is consistently hypersensitive to any type of bad events in-game, and it snowballs and makes it impossible to ever swing the tide.
All the comebacks last year aside, why the F*#$ is this still a problem? It's a function of Bo being the head coach and not knowing how to change it. He may be able to change it, but it will take a LONG time, and I'm not sure he's got that much leash now. He's absolutely clueless right now.

I guess when it comes down to it, I use this as an overarching reason to explain to people why we were better off with TA or Kellogg under center yesterday (and likely always) than Taylor:
Under TA and Kellog, we saw what the offense was capable. It ran, and it ran smooth, consistently. It ran with a few hitches (TA took his lumps in the Purdue game and looked like a frosh), but it actually flourished, for the most part.
Under Taylor, when was the last time we actually saw that? For whatever reason, be it Beck going full Watstard, or Taylor himself, when he is in the game, our offense just seems prone to mistake-filled, ineffective offense that is occasionally boom but most often bust. It cannot sustain drives, and that literally saps the life out of the defense. How would you feel if you knew the offense was going to trot back out there, chuck three quick stupid-looking incompletions, and then punt? It makes it hard to do your job, knowing any points you give up are that much more crucial.
Same deal applies to Bo. Why is it that even when we should dominate and impose our will on other teams, we continue to look clueless and fail in games that matter? You cannot use athleticism as an excuse on defense this year. Bo's got all of his handpicked recruits out there. And vice-versa on offense with Beck. And yet, we continue to sh*t the bed. Why is that?
I can't pinpoint exactly why (I think perhaps it has to do with some combination of: poor teaching/communicating methods, poor preparation week in and week out regardless of opponent, and very very poor psychological attitudes and toughness in grit-it-out moments from Bo on down to everyone else), but for some reason we continue to underacheive very badly. It's very embarassing and Bo is losing more and more of his backers with every single damn loss.
I have wanted to believe in him in the past. But I am done. After losing to damn MINNESOTA (again, say that out loud), I am done with Bo. I don't care if they're good this year (I know they are). It's MINNESOTA. Bring on the coaching search!

Let me try this, since it seems to be the "in" thing right now...
1. Those kids you named, didn't have many starts, and we never really got to see them on the field, and simply, we have seen the talent of these Freshman. Bando, Gerry, Valentine, Afalava, McMullen, Moss and Rose have shown a ton of promise. Sure they make mistakes, but they are FRESHMAN and still learning a system that is not as complicated as many think it is.
2. We can Bo, we take a hit on recruiting like you stated, regardless of when we do it. Only chance I don't see this happening, is if we hire a big name coach.
3. Ditto, but its not as clean as you think it is. Every, and I mean EVERY program has things going on behind closed doors, and head coaches have no idea its happening.
4. This is something I agree, to an extent. Bo should put his big boy pants on, and when he felt it was time for TM to be pulled, he should have given Beck no choice, because HE is Head Coach. Not pulling Martinez is Beck's fault, just as much as Bo's. Call for Bo's head on this, you need to call for Beck's. True to the Red pointed out an ESPN article where TM even thought Armstrong was going to get meaningful snaps, and Bo was ok with that, but Beck didn't want it to happen, because the game was too competitive. If Beck is too damn blind to see that Martinez isn't performing and we have TWO capable QB's behind him, who can win, this guy is too blind to rely on, IMO.
5. You can sit here and say Bo tried to reach out, but you can't prove it to be right or wrong. This is a complete rumor on both ends and to try and make this a valid point, is just a complete opinion, not a fact. IMO, if Bo isn't willing to put on his big boy pants, make assistant changes that are drastically needed, then he needs to go. Bo needs to be a HEAD COACH and let his assistants do what they are hired for, if they don't know, get someone who does. This is why Saban is so successful. He has GREAT assistants next to him. Same goes for Les Miles.
Change is needed, I think this is something we can all agree on.

Apparently people forget what Urban Meyer told us when we asked him to be our head coach. He basically told us to f#*k off....and this was when he was at Utah looking to move up.

Greg Schiano
Schiano, as the head coach of Rutgers University, where he served 11 years, transforming the Scarlet Knights from an unknown into a consistently competitive, winning and respected program.
Prior to heading up the Rutgers program, Schiano served two seasons (1999-00) as defensive coordinator with the Miami Hurricanes.
Schiano served three seasons in the NFL as a defensive assistant (1996-97) and later defensive backfield coach for the Chicago Bears (1998) and also spent six seasons under the late Joe Paterno at Penn State as a graduate assistant (1990) and defensive backfield coach (1991-95).
Schiano -is a 1988 graduate of Bucknell University, where he was a three-year letterman at linebacker.
