Media access and Nebraska Football

Yep. Would anyone actually be surprised if Bo makes these changes with the media and refuses to make coaching changes? That seems to fit him perfectly. Sad to think that we will probably have to endure at least one more season of this.
Bo wasn't exactly 'hit' by coaching changes. He made those decisions himself. He has the staff he wants here.

So which is it?

Michigan's recruiting is obviously overrated. They lost to Nebraska.
i am a lot less proud of that win now then i was when it happened. but it probably still was our best win.
It was. And they're going to finish ~55th Sagarin at best.

Michigan's recruiting is not overrated...their main problem is their coaching staff doesn't possess anything resembling a central nervous system. Hoke is coaching like Michigan is playing high school ball sometime in the early 90s. You can't run it up the middle 45 times a game and throw endless end zone fades in FBS football in 2013. My god.

i think you just need to watch how mich. lost to psu to know everything you need to about their coaches' decision-making abilities.

Yeah seriously can we all stop pointing to the conference change as to why Nebraska is struggling. The first year in it was expected NU would run away with it. And now the conference is looking dead in the face at a 1 win bowl season and yet somehow the scheme is too complicated for a defensive genius?

We can't, because in order to know we'd have to have data showing how Nebraska would have done in 2011-2013 in the Big 12. Both results- and recruiting-wise. I don't think anyone is "blaming" the conference change so much as people recognize that it was a net negative for the football program that presented many challenges both direct (a more physical and less speed/finesse playstyle) and indirect (recruiting, exposure, perception, change in division strength, etc). Something can heavily contibute to a bad situation without being the only cause. We're in an awful spot for a lot of reasons right now.

I don't care about any of this whatsoever
You opened the thread and read it, didn't you?

I saw a tweet and posted this in the thread without reading any of it.

And before you call me out, I also only came back because I had a notification.
I'm not calling you out because you didn't say anything other than you originally didn't care about the thread you've been consistently posting on, I'm just wondering why a 'notification' on a thread you had a tweet about something you don't believe in, led you in hook, line, and sinker. Meh, it probably has got me a few times

Recruiting is the key to get us where we need to go.

If that's the case then we're headed in the right direction.
In baby steps only. Not in the ESPN top 40. Rivals at 34. And the 247 composite is at 37. Looks like we are recruiting to maintain where we are. Unranked.
Last i checked we had top 25 classed the past 2 years and this class hadn't finished yet...
Composite from 2012 was 31, 2013 22, and the 5 year composite average is 27. Not going to get to where we want to be without better recruiting.

2012 only had 17 commits which is a reason why it was lower. 14 out of the 17 played this season. Most with significant amount of time. One was kicked off the team (Thomas Brown). The other two are offensive lineman and you normally don't see them playing until Jr. year unless they are amazing. Id say we got a pretty good ROI from that class.

2013 you are just plain wrong. Our composite is 18. I don't know how you got that number when our worst ranking out of the four was 23 and our best was 11, with Rivals ranking us in the middle at 17.
