OWH Shatel: Relaxing at the Bo Pelini Lounge

Oh man, a good article involving Bo, this isn't going to go well with some people on this board.

Great read though.

Good article. It's true, Bo does seem to have a weight lifted off his shoulders; either by winning that bowl game or acknowledging some changes that he needed to make; he is much more relaxed and much more open to change.

Will be interesting to see how that plays out in the fall.

What in the name of Faux Pelini is going on here?
Exactly! But come on Shatel, how about pics?? Article would've been 10X better with pics of the recruiting crib.

That's because Pelini's old spacious office has been turned into a coach's crib. Officially, it's a recruiting room, with couches and chairs and trophies and NFL helmets and jerseys from Pelini alums, behind glass. This is where recruits hang with the man. It's all very 2014.
His office has been turned into a coaches crib, a recruiting room? He doesn't even get his own office now? Geez, talk about lack of support from the administration. Clearly Perlman took Bo's office away if you just read between the lines on this.

But I never could have imagined Pelini opening his practices to the media, who are literally locked out of the Hawks indoor facility until the last whistle is blown each day. Pelini opened up practice at the Gator Bowl and liked it. The rule was reporters couldn’t report on anything they saw in real time. Nobody did. What a wonderful world.
And now he’s considering this for the fall, too.

“I thought it worked out well,” Pelini said. “I do feel comfortable doing it. I changed my mind on that. I think it will be a good thing. I think it will be a win-win for both of us.”

Who is this coach, and what have you done with the other one?
Bo's too stubborn to change....

There was an invisible

in my post. Perhaps there was in yours as well.

With age comes knowledge. Still a very young and inexperienced head coach compared to some. Hopefully he is more relaxed, more in tune with the game at this level and his responsibilities, that means nothing but good for the team. Would have liked to have seen the crib!!!!

I think part of it is Pelini has learned through his own mistakes how important the recruiting piece is.
So after a DC job at a school two years removed from a BCS title game appearances then another job at a program that played for one, then another dc job at a championship program, and finally six years of running his own program, he's finally learned that he should pay more attention to recruiting?

Quick learner.

Yeah, you're right, he should do things exactly as he always has, don't try anything new, don't change a thing.

Better yet, let's just take him out back to meet the firing squad.
