I predict an all Big 10 season.. kids hungry
Very true, you don't want a bunch of choir boys. Athletes are great, but you need some kids that just like the physical side of football.Maybe I am in the minority, but a team of choir boys isn't going to get us to the MNC. You are kidding yourself thinking that TO's kids were saints. If he is the best OL at that position great. He should start. If he plays through the whistle and scares opposing DL great. If he is verbal, plays mean and talks crap. Great. I do not want a dirty player, I want one who is mean and not afraid to go to some ones a$$ when needed. Seeing Martinez get abused by Wiscky in the B1G 2 years ago and seeing no one ear hole an opposing player was unbelievable. We need to get tougher, meaner and more intense on both sides of the ball. I hear some spring talk about the D coming into their own in this approach. The OL needs it as well.
Taylor Lewon for Michigan comes to mind as someone you need, someone you want on your team.
Agree ref SUH. Off the field the guy appears to be a great character guy. I have no reason to doubt or think otherwise. The guy was a beast and played mean on the field. This is what I hope Lewis brings to the table. Leave it all on the field as they say. (don't be an a$$ off it)I hope he is, but until he is, all is just message board blah blah.
Nothing about him equates to Incogidiot. Not much lower than the things he did here. No surprise he has had continuous problems playing everywhere.
Suh is choir boy on every level compared to the moron.
OWHAlex Lewis is an excellent transfer pickup, and his presence will help make Randy Gregory a better pass rusher. Lewis plays like a Big Ten tackle. Strong first push, good feet, nasty streak. Gregory has worked on his dip-and-rip move, too, catching Lewis flat-footed with one Saturday and forcing a holding penalty. Gregory is perhaps always going to be so at ease with his immense athleticism that it takes a lot to raise his hackles. But Lewis appears capable of that.
More props for Lewis:

Didn't know he had any off field incidents. I don't pay that close attention to other teams players all the time. Anyway, only talking about the way he plays footballTaylor Lewon for Michigan comes to mind as someone you need, someone you want on your team.
Likely rapists that also happen to assault football players on the field?
I disagree. Give me guys that play nasty and mean until the whistle and aren't disgusting degenerates as overall people.
From what I remember he regretted going to Colorado over Nebraska, and decided to transfer.Pardon me for this question because I'm sure it was answered 18 months ago or so when he decided to transfer from CU.
But...why exactly did he want to leave CU? If I remember correctly, his legal problems came well after he committed to transferring to Nebraska.
I'm excited to see him play and I think our O Line is potentially going to be very good this year.
Boy. This sure isnt going to help Nebraska's dwindling, if not already non-existent, reputation for good sportsmanship that so many of us are hearing about all the time out of state.@Sean_Callahan: Tommy Armstrong told me the combination of Alex Lewis and Jake Cotton on the left side is "double trouble" and they get "rowdy" on the field
I think this is what some have been asking for in this thread.
