Will Taylor Martinez play in the NFL?

Now the NFL is drafting college players. I don't think Taylor Martinez will be drafted, but I could be wrong. He could sign as a free agent, but not many free agent QBs make it in the NFL. Kurt Warner and Tony Romo have, but they're the exception.

I suspect Martinez will end up playing in the Arena League or in the CFL.

Is Taylor healthy yet? Seems like it all depends on his foot. He's clearly a good enough athlete to play. When he's 100%.

Taylor's going to get a shot somewhere at a camp, either at WR or DB. Whether he sticks on the 53 man roster, I don't know.

He is lightning in a bottle. A great seam runner with incredible straight line speed. Watching him for three years he appears unable to lower a shoulder to take a hit, receive the hit or deliver one. He also appears to have little ability to juke a defender. Punt returner or KO maybe. DB, unsure of his ability to cover or tackle. Receiver, ability to make folks miss or even catch the ball.

He tested very well at pro day and supposedly did a great job on the scout team as a receiver so he might have that ability. On speed alone, IMO, he gets an invite somewhere.

Sure, he will sign a free agent contract with someone. NFL teams aren't out a whole lot by throwing a couple hundred thousand at a kid to come to camp and see what he can do. If they don't like what they see they cut them loose pretty fast.

If he makes a team the only way I see it is as a KR/WR.

I would love to see Taylor as a receiver if healthy. I don't think he would make it on the Defensive side. He just isn't a physical person. I am not saying he shy's from contact he just isn't a defensive player.

that is the most accurate assessment in my view.

last week Taylor's dad apparently wouldn't offer anything more than that there have been positive developments as of late regarding his pro prospects and teams interested
