I don't think #33 is terrible. I figured we'd be a fringe top 25 team to start the season.

Mckewon has a write up on this subject. Nebraska isn't a very sexy team if you look at the numbers and only the numbers. We are 10-0 in the last 10 games we've played that was decided by less than 10 points. They look at that and see a trend that will have to reverse and quite possibly see the bottom fall out. The numbers show that we are the 33rd best team, but I and a number of other fans really like what we see in the players we have now. We lost a lot on the o-line last year, but because of injuries we're not replacing what we lost with 100% fresh faces.
