Miami picks up a ringer QB

When did today turn into dump on Redux day? Didn't realize Bielma was so well respected by apostrophists, my apologies.

PS, I started typing irrelevant and my phones a pile so when I went to replace with relativity it didn't work. Sorry for the grammar.
yeah, it is impossible to post from your phone. i get that.

i was not trying to be hard on you, i just thought that was odd solace for you to think about bielema failing in the SEC when you think about wilson destroying us.
I should explain. I think Wilson is a hell of an athlete and deserves the success he's enjoying. He seems like a legit good dude so I'd really kinda feel bad hating on him. Bielma on the other hand, I think the guys a tool. He has a smug demeanor and some really questionable attributes. He may eventually do okay at Arky, but right now I'm enjoying his poor decision to take the job in the first place. I referenced him since he was Wilsons last coach in college. It's a bit of a jump to get from RW stomping us to Arky sucking, kinda like that Kevin Bacon game.

at the risk of derailing this thread, i agree with a lot of what you said. wilson was just that good that day and is an incredible qb. even when our defense played perfectly, it did not matter.

but my point was basically that bielema is still a successful and relevant coach. i thought it was odd that he went to arkansas, but i don't blame him. he thought he reached his ceiling at wiscy (unhappy with what the ad gave him) and wanted to be in the best conference.

i also agree that smugness is a terrible attribute in a head coach representing a university.

No question he was a success at Wisy, cant take that away from him. He hit jackpot electric dynamite with RW. Heaps to Miami on the other hand, I just dont see it being the missing cog of a championship machine.

yeah. i am really questioning how good miami will be when we face them.

Miami may not have great QB play but they have talent everywhere else. Kind of like us, only we will probably have better QB play. Or I hope.

Off the top of my head:

QB: advantage NU

RB: even. we've got Abdullah/Cross and they've got Duke Johnson/Gus Edwards.

WR: advantage NU. Miami might have more raw talent but they lost their most experienced receiver who caught twice as many passes as the next receiver. Eventually they'll probably be a better unit than ours, but early on in the season I like the experience of Bell and Turner, and think Miami probably won't have found that go-to guy yet or had the time to develop that clutch QB/WR relationship.

OL: no idea, I have to assume with all the injuries we had last season that our OL will be more experienced, and since #B1G hopefully bigger and stronger.

DL: no idea, but again, I have to assume Gregory & Co. will be as good or better than whoever they've got.

LB: just glancing over the roster it looks like Miami's got a lot of youth there but heck if I know.

DB/CB: advantage Miami. They've got some major talent and return Rayshawn Jenkins, one of the best in the country.
