Play calling, game planning...

Well, we looked kindy limpy in the first half. Even though we went in with a 14-14 tie, we came out in the second half with fire in our eyes.

BC said that sCUm ran an entirely new defense that NU had not seen before. He said thay had to kind of wing it for a while. It was nice to see points scored in the 3rd quarter.

Correction. We went into the half with a 14-7 lead. BJAX fumbled on our first possession in the 3rd quarter which led to that 45 yard run by Mel Holliday for a TD to make it 14 all. That was the closest they ever got. All big red from there on out.

You are correct, I was thinking that was at the end of the half, but was in the 3rd quarter.

 
honestly, i think callahan said "heck with this, let's have some fun" and just let it go from there.

of all the second halfs during this season, *this* one was by far the most entertaining.

*this* is the husker team that should have showed up to the USC game.

I agree. If Callahan would have went into the USC game with a gameplan to win, NU could have made it interesting.

I would assume that it's easier to gameplan for a 2-9 team then it is to gameplan for a Top 5 team.

 
The second half of today's game was so refreshing to see compared to other games!!!! We were a little flat at the beginning of the 3rd quarter, but we finally scored in the 3rd quarter and let them have it in the 2nd half!!! :bonez

 
I thought the play calling was fine. Turnovers and penalties killed drives, but we came out on top! W00t!
