QB draw is good when less than 6 or 7 yards to go. But coo-koo when it's 3rd and 11
It's not in any way cookoo. If the defense is backed up enough you might be able to get it, but the call is for field position. Now Fresno is at the 10 yard line with 50 seconds to go, and had to take their last timeout. A draw is a very typical playcall for this situation.
Exactly. It is a cop out for getting yards and making the other team use timeouts. Plus there is the slightest chance of getting a first down if the other team is in man coverage.

Uh, don't see how a team down 27-5 is in control of the game, but, alright.
Did they really say that?

It doesn't really bother me what announcers say, but you'd think they would attempt to sound smart. By not making ridiculous statements

I disagree. You're up 27-5 at that point. Take a shot down field. Practice 2 minute drill. It could provide experience down the road. QB draw is typical, when you want to get into the locker room

Okay, so I'm sitting on my couch in my pajamas, listening to a football game on the radio and reading Huskerboard after midnight on a Saturday night/Sunday morning (eastern time zone). F##k it, I'm getting some cold pizza from the fridge and opening another beer.

I'm almost wonder if it's possible for Tim Beck to do something right. And that's not a thought about his abilities, it's a thought about perceptions of his ability.
No need ro over think it or to get deep. Sometimes perception is reality. Beck has brought on the perception by screwing the pooch on innumerable play calls. He has well earned the doubters.
