It Isn't the 90s Anymore - Or Is It?

I think we need to heal our mental outlook as well, if it were 90's we could hire

It's probably not going to happen until they implement the

offense
Ahhh yes. But, they would need an experienced

to run that kind of Offense
You too get dinged as Coach started in '89! (I was going to use that one too... grrrrr)

But who knows, maybe one day Beck finally gets over the hump (for real) and teaches Tommy how to be a true QB. On that day, perhaps that

wide expectations of Husker fans everywhere and we have a team to rival those of the 90s. Until then, we'll just have to keep on trying to

I'm so thankful we have the internet in order to have stimulating discussions like these. Thank goodness for

Do you think Bo has the ability to get the team to win out for the rest of the year to get them to Indy, and if not, what is the difference between the 2012 and 2014 Bo/team?

I think they can. But even that 2012 season showed barely being able to beat bad teams is a dangerous way to make a living. A few of those games could have easily gone the other way. Which we saw last year.

Yeah, but this year we have a head-and-shoulder better defense (in talent and execution), are playing well in every phrase of special teams, and are not shooting ourselves in the foot on offense (as much) winning the TO margin. Our leadership is also better than in 2012. Heck, I would even take 2014 Bo, Beck, and Pap over the 2012 versions (though they are still lacking a bit in gamesmanship).
The only downgrade I see is the OL (who need to play with more nastiness and discipline).

Oregon that year won the PAC 10, damn near beat penn st for us in the Rose Bowl, and by 2000 was nearly to what they are now.

And the only thing I'm jabbing at is the asinine argument that Nebraska can't win now because it isn't the 90's anymore. Or we shouldn't expect consistent greatness because it's no long the 90's. Or whatever phrasing is used. It's dumb, and there's no reasoning behind it. And that is obvious when you look at the teams now and then.
Actually, we have been winning the past 7 years. Quite a lot, actually. We just haven't gotten over the hump that we all would like to get over.

If you can't acknowledge or see how college football has changed in the past 25 years, then either you're whining like a petulant child or I greatly over estimated how much you know about the game.

The changes have no bearing on whether or not Nebraska can be perennially successful.
So, i must have overestimated your knowledge of college football. And they have been successfull, sans 2002~2007.
That is your opinion.

NUpolo views success as winning championships and you view it as winning 9 games and a whale trophy
Didn't you know Nebraska is the same as Alabama and Oregon under Pelini
