As sad as it is, I agree. Although, I do believe that it is ridiculous that some think that the ACC is a better conference than the Big Ten

Just to point out an interesting little thing I've noticed... Last year, on any given Saturday during football season, I could catch at least three or four BTN games on BTN2GO or the BTN channel. This year started the same way, and people were saying our conference ducked and we'd never make it to the playoff... then something happened. Three or four BTN games each week have been shown on ABC/ESPN/2/U. Starting around week 5 or 6. Now, all of a sudden, the talking heads on ESPN are saying and writing articles about how MSU or tOSU and maybe Nebraska could make it to the playoff if one of those teams wins out. Hmmm... intersting coincidence.

We've had 3 or 4 games shown on ABC/ESPN networks all season. In fact, 6 on Aug 30, 5 on Sept 6, and 6 on Sept 20.

As we've moved into conference play there are fewer games with B1G teams since we're playing each other, so fewer games that fall to BTN.

Not so hmmm worthy.

They have started backtracking on one of the B1G teams making the playoffs though. That was way premature on their part, it seems, though we'll know more this week when the committee says something this week.

 
I'm fine with #14-#16 or whatever, for now. Keep winning and the rankings will take care of themselves. I wouldn't say we're much better or worse than any other one-loss team right now.

This.. but I also dont think we end up in the top 10.

I think there are a few too many teams with 1 loss that people perceive as a better loss... even if our 1 loss is against a top 5 team(soon-to-be).

This conference blows, and the voters aren't stupid - they know this. We don't get brownie points for beating up on cripples like Illinois and Rutgers.

We also looked like nothing close to a top 10 team against our only truly good opponent this year. So there's that.

How are we any different than the SEC other than we couldn't beat them early in the year? We have good teams being tested by unranked teams, not losing to them.

Nebraska didn't look any worse against MSU than #3 Ole Miss against #23 LSU or #1 Miss State against Kentucky.

 
I looked over Coaches Poll last week (October 19). Actually our Huskers will probably decrease one slot from #16 to #17. LSU bypassed NU.

Even worst, #19 Utah beat #21 U$C.
