So you're telling me we couldn't muster more than 300 yards even after those first three drives (which are included in the total yard count) which happened in the first 8 minutes of the 1st Quarter?
The point is that if we don't get a block and big returns then there are a lot more yards in front of our offense that they may or may not have gained.
If we score on all of the same drives but start the drives that we had that started at the 7, 16, and 17 yard lines at midfield, then we might have gained a notably higher amount of yards. At the end of the day, yards are meaningless. Points matter and we scored 35 points and it was ugly and far from our best game but we are going to win most games that we score 35 points.
