Cowherd: "8 Great Job Openings in Football"

If Bo stays & hires a legit OC & a legit DC (as opposed to his "yes men" buddies) I suppose I could accept it. I just think Bo may be incapable of working with another "alpha male" personality on the staff...therefore he hires "yes men" like Tim Beck who don't have enough balls to stand up to him

I just don't see what the benefit is at that point. Not having to pay him for the next 5 years maybe? SE's contract extension for Bo was a joke. He keeps Bo, and does that again it's going to begin to be pretty damn difficult investing much in the Huskers going forward.

...A Bo that seems to have come to terms with the inevitable.
This is spot on. All the season ticket holders I know want Bo gone but aren't going to give up their season tickets to make it happen. The only indication that makes me think Bo is gone is his behavior after the past 2 losses. It's so out of character it's hard to explain.

And agreed Cowherd is a flavor of the minute talking head.

If you listen to cowherd he never mentions nebraska. When it comes to "traditional" powerhouses in the big10.

Also he had a rant a couple years back specifically mentioning lincoln as a cold rural town. Saying it doesn't work anymore for recruits. So you have to rebrand the kind of football you play
He's such an idiot. I swear, the only reason he still has a show is because so many listen to him simply to hear what kind of boneheaded statement he'll make next.

I mean, that's why I listen.
agree, Colin is a real jack off!

dont worry.........Bo wont fire his buddies!

Cowherd is such a flip flopper. A few weeks ago Michigan was a garbage job. Nobody would want it. Things have changed. Hell, 6 weeks ago he woulda sucked of Russel Wilson if he was in front of him, but not there's problems at Seattle. Russel isnt as good without this or this. Before the world series, the Royals were garbage cuz they had no power. No offense. Their "story" wasnt that big of a deal. Oh. but after they get to one hit from winning it, yeah, how they play is great. This is nte new baseball. Power is a thing of the past. Cowherd likes to flip flop after the matter of fact. So what he says has no bearing. It doesnt really matter what his opinion is on Nebraska football.
This guy comes across as a condescending, pompous, arrogant know it all. I change channels the second I hear his voice.

Just going to point out that I heard Colin specifically and repeatedly say that "if you are Ohio State and Michigan State, you need Nebraska to keep winning". This was a few weeks before Wisconsin dropped almost 60 on us. He was adding that "if you take care of what's in front of you, and Nebraska wins out, you then have a chance to make it into the playoffs with a win over them. Because the B1G is struggling to show it's worth in weight. And it will only happen if Nebraska wins out".

That's what I heard. Take it for what it's worth.

A few weeks ago he named what he thought were the 10-or-so best coaching jobs in college football. Nebraska wasn't one of them. But so what? One of the main arguments to keep Bo is no coach would want to coach here because of the location.

First off, why on earth is anyone listening to that jacka$$?

Second, he considers this 'fly over country' and can't imagine why anyone not fat, lazy and stupid would choose to live here. So, pretty obvious that he does not consider it a good job.
