Has Pelini really been that successful? His defenses have been proven to be as bad as Cosgrove's, and he was fired...

You know something's wrong when hand-washing 30 people's worth of thanksgiving dishes is preferable to watching the game.

Tressel, you gotta come here and revive this program. We are all so SICK of seeing this crap.
If we fire Pelini we'll be lucky to find a decent high school coach to come here.
yeah, right. Because we're ranked so highly and have done so well the past 7 years. That excuse is a joke and doesn't hold water.
And we're f'ing Nebraska
We were f'ing Nebraska when we fired Solich and that didn't seem to bring the coaches running to fill his spot.
You guys are crazy if you think we get a big name after firing a winning coach.
Steve P completely botched the entire hiring process that time around. To compare that to now is comical
What comical is the idea someone would come to a school where half the fan base will hate him for not being named Tom Osborne after the new car smell wears out.
Defeatist
I thought we called that being a realist here on Huskerboard.
You honestly don't think NU can find a better coach than Pelini? That isn't being a realist at all because if you watch this team you would realize there are dozens of coaches capable of winning 8 with our B1G west schedule
I don't think Pelini is as bad as you make him out to be. Maybe we make a change at OC. But I like Pelini, he runs a clean program, when he focuses on an area we do well (defense last year, special teams this year).

So you want changes? Fire Beck. Get a new OC. See how that goes. If defense needs work next year? Fire Paps. We can get coordinators. But we will not get a better head coach than Bo if he is fired this year.

I also learned to pay attention to history. Fire a successful coach, you get a sh**ty coach. It's called learning from history.
Bo calls the defensive plays so firing pap does nothing

I can now confirm my thoughts that Iowa is the perfect amount of competitiveness for us and Bo's type of team to play. Even though we trail near halftime. Maybe I'll add it to "what did we learn" thread

Clear that either Pelini and staff are incompetent, or that the players no longer buy into what they are preaching.

Either way it's pretty much untenable.
