I think there are many fans who wanted NU to go in a new direction, AND that also don't want to see Frost or any other assistant be out next head coach. From what I am seeing, most fans would prefer Tressel or Colorado State's coach.

And how sad is it that we are looking at a coach from Colorado State...the program NEEDS a big time hire to help the perception of this decision. The proof will be how many big name coaches are actually interested in coaching at Nebraska. We could fall further into mediocrity!

Don't go there. I have nothing against the man, actually liked him from everything I have seen. But he didn't get the job done. I'm sorry if you can't make that kind of distinction.

 
The amount of butt-hurt on this board is unbelievable. If you love Pelini so much, why don't you follow him to the next program he coaches at?

 
Would you feel better about it if Bo had gotten one of the multiple jobs he tried for while he was at NU? Who would you be mad at then?

Mediocrity must be a very warm blanket for some people.

Don't hurt yourself when you fall off that high horse!!

Almost everyone has lauded how he ran his program, players graduating and staying out of trouble. And they love him, everyone appreciates that. But the bottom line is he wasn't getting it done and that's why people wanted a change.

And maybe if he hadn't been such an asshat to the fans the desire for him to be gone wouldn't have been so strong.

 
No the firing i understand. Its all you little winy pricks on here i dont. You call me not a fan for being pissed a good coach was fired. A coach that the players said over and over again they would do anything for was fired because fans like some of you are bitching about this or that. Thats where my problem is. Theres lots of Alabamas and Florida Sts out there to root for if you want to feel good about yourselves. Oh bo thank you for your service while you go on here and ridicule the team and the players. Un F**king believeable.
