***Official Head Coaching Search Discussion***

Bret Bielema played at Iowa when Bo coached there. He is a midwestern guy who doesn't really fit in well in the SEC. I think he is the one.

He better already have someone hired, before pulling the trigger. If someone is not hired by next week this will be a disaster.

who i feel should be candidates in no particular order....

Jim mcelwain

paul chyrst

bronco mendenhall

scott frost

mark richt

ken deruyter

i have a feeling it will be a big name. hopefully it is someone who runs the ball first, second, and third.

Agreed, they need a replacement hired asap to get going on recruiting otherwise our small class will be even smaller. Hope it's a good one.

I want somebody with HC experience and McElwain seems like the most qualified guy that would actually take the job.

I'm actually hoping I get hired. My plan is to negotiate the best budget they'll give me. Keep maybe a cool mil for myself, then go out and hire those that I want to run the O and the D, and I'll play CEO. Thoughts?

As long as Florida isn't an option, we are getting Jim McElwain!

One of my nephews was recruited by McElwain, but he wanted to stay closer to home so he accepted a scholarship from another Div1 school. Now that my nephew broke up with is girlfriend, he wishes that he'd gone to Colorado State because he really liked McElwain. Based on my family's experience with McElwain, I'd say that he's also a classy guy and a good recruiter.

So now what happens when this team lays an EGG in the bowl game?
Why can't people see the bigger picture? The bowl game does not matter. The win over a 7-4 Iowa team did not matter.
That's part of the problem with nebraska football. Those don't matter to 50% of the fan base.

But mean a whole hell of a lot to these players who play here. Remember it is about the players right.
