Danny Langsdorf New Offensive Coordinator

Like it, seems like the puzzle pieces are fitting nicely. Can't wait til spring to get a glimpse of what the o will look like.

The reason for the departure of the 42-year-old Langsdorf is unclear, especially since he's returning to essentially the same job he left a year ago, just at a different place.

My guess is he doesnt like working for that meany Tom Coughlin. We will likely pay him more than what he is making now and it will be a lower stress environment than NY. Easy decision. I just hope he isnt here to collect a pay check.

Well.....if next season goes like this season did for NY....they will have no choice but to clean the coaching house. He is going to be in a more stable position at NU, that's for sure.

Transitioning from a first time head coarch, with a first time OC and first time DC - to a tenured HC, with an OC that has almost 10 years of experience in that role. Many of the largest complaints over the last few years have been the lack of experience on the staff - the inability to fix the issues that have plagued us. Well, we have the experience now. That in itself is a big reason to be optimistic about the hires.

 
Between Riley and Langsdorf, the most important position on the team will be tended to with a much more meticulous attention in terms of development and recruiting.

Ha ha! That quote shows how much the NY Daily News, and New Yorkers in general, know about college football. OC at Nebraska is *not* the same job as OC at Oregon State. Not even close.
