New Member...Are opinions allowed on this site?

Ive been critical of Bo Pelini when he was head coach, mostly for mediocre recruiting, and I've frequently voiced my displeasure with the hire of Mike Riley and most of his staff. And im still here.

All joking aside, Huskerboard is one of the best moderated sites out there. Go to shaggybevo or any other board and you'll appreciate huskerboard even more.

What up Rawhide?

I have been around here quite awhile. My opinions do not normally match the general idea. Never been banned, never been warned, and I post things that sometimes (normally piss people off), so if I can hang around this long, I see no reason you won't be able to.

Hell we still have that low life Polo!!!!!!!

Mods aren't bad here at all.

I know which board and which mod you're talking about. He's an egotistical control freak on that site, can't have an opinion different from his or ban Hammer! Plus he gets all of his recruiting info from our recruiting specialists here, frequent visitor, even has an account here.

Main thing here is don't attack the poster and don't post bewbs!

Um this is a little awkward. Sorry to break the news to ya, but Polo is no longer with us. Join us in the woodshed to pay your respects and say your goodbyes

Mods/Admins here are great. There is a lot of self-policing and a only a few posters with the hive-mind mentality. Overall great board.

A word of caution: be careful of Moiraine. She'll seem cool but outta nowhere will take threads to a dark, scary place with a single post. ;P

I think I know the board you're referring to. I was banned over there for daring to criticize Pelini and starting a thread that questioned whether he was a good leader. That was about three years ago. The mods/admins over there are out of control. This site seems to be far better in my opinion.

Depends on if Knapp agrees with what you're saying and whether or not he missed his nap - geezer gets cranky otherwise.

Serious answer: voicing opinions doesn't get anyone suspended or banned. Excessive dicketry does.

You can have your opinion about things with people around here and agree to disagree at times. When it starts getting personal and turns to name calling, that's when the problems start. I'd recommend getting up to speed with the board rules and welcome to huskerboard.com.

GFO, here's my take.

This place is good because the doosh post count is much lower than on the other boards. Re mods I can only guess they must be rather restrained since there were quite a few posts in December that had the "earns a warning/vacation" ring to em, IMO. The ignore function here comes in handy.

I'm a member on a couple of sites for local teams in my area. Huskerboard is FAR AND AWAY the best site as far as moderators go. I think the 'douche' criteria for them is about perfect. I've been to some forums that are utter wastelands in terms of the poor taste and outright venom of the posters, and I've been to other sites where it is pretty much run like a preschool class ('you hurt Timmy's feelings. Say you're sorry or go in timeout'). This place is my preferred site to share and read opinions.
