That seems like a slightly drastic comparison.

Comparing a joke on a message board to domestic violence might be one of the more preposterous things i have ever seen on here.

I don't think Golden's future is as uncertain as everyone thinks. He guided Miami through their last few rough years when it wasn't even his fault. He has the #8 recruiting class for next year according to 247. He also already has 8 verbals for 2017 and 4 for 2018. The guy is turning around a pretty big ship. I would imagine he has 3-4 years left.

keep in mind his first few classes were #7, #9, #20 - so it's not like this guy has been without talent all this time and is finally turning recruiting around. He hasn't done anything with what he's had thus far, so short of a #1-3 class those #8-#15 classes he has lined up aren't going to make much of a difference.

He went 6-6, 7-5, 9-3 in the first 3 years. He did go 6-7 last year so I think if he shows improvement he will be good for a few more years. Maybe 3 4 tops if he isn't in the CCG or CFP.

I see no reason Miami shouldn't be contending for a division crown every year, of course you could say the same about Nebraska. But we had to fire our average coach in hopes of clearing the average platform.

We also gave him 7 years. Some would think it was too many years but it seemed more because of his demeanor and behavior and not overall record.

 
Honestly, if it's between Nebraska and Miami, he should go with the team that will have more fans at the game this fall.

I still believe his demeanor was a convenient excuse. SE wanted to hire someone, to be the hero who got the next TO to Lincoln. Understandable, why wouldnt he want to be the guy to turn Nebraska around. Bo just made it super freaking eady for him.
The Cane fans sound really tired of Goldens poor game management and decision making so I will be surprised if another sub par year doesn't result in a new hire. Theres a guy in Youngstown who was rumored for the job at one time.
