Maybe I'm just being tough on them, but I just can't get past some of the things I see from the game management part of things. If they had better game management I guarantee you we don't lose as many games as we've lost this season. Games were too close and that's where game management and little things matter. But regardless, if they can finish the season with a win against #7 MSU, a win against Rutgers, and a win against a Top 5 Iowa, my hats off to them for that finish.X2Guys, I think overall the coaching staff has called a good game both offensively and defensively..TA has made mistakes on his own bad decisions that Rutgers have capitalized off of.
I'm talking about those specific play calls and the coaching mentality. Do you not see it when I said "on those downs".What are you talking aboout? 20 passes to 29 runs.Jesus Christ. We were going into the wind. With a huge lead. Running is goin well. We don't need a score, so yeah I'd like us to run and beat up on their d line. This isn't the 1920's when the forward pass was illegal. The runs have been set up by the pass, if you can't see that then there is nothing I can say to help you.We shouldn't have been throwing it on those downs. That's on the coaching staff, and they keep making decisions that put this team in a position to lose. You are not seeing the other WR's that aren't running 40 yards downfield? That is on TA for throwing it deep instead they of throwing to a WR or TE that is on a shallow route. You have to be willfully myopic to not see the staff is inhibiting the kids via their playcalling. That play could've been less "cute" if you ask me, JMO. If you can't see the poor game management by the coaching staff well there is nothing I can do about that.He called exactly what people were asking for. Running it and then short passes/screens. So TA throws it right to an DL and that is Langs fault? Both of Rutgers TD's are on TA's lack of intelligence, and nobody else. This boards obsession with blaming the coaches for the players screwing up is beyond ridiculous.Jeez...........we just can't put this game away can we? Good call there Langsdork.
This offense needs a series to string together--a 'win', if you will. Chucking the f*****g ball on 3rd and 4 downfield 40 yards is unnecessary--running and getting 4+ is, so you focus on getting the kids some 'wins' on offense, and string together a drive. Keep running the f*****g ball, and when Rutgers starts to cheat against the run, THEN you go to the air.
It's not f*****g rocket science, except to this staff, apparently.
Up 21-0 why are we airing it out instead of pounding it out? Down 21-7 with a minute left, and we go to the air again!
Then, after getting a first down from 3 runs we throw a screen at the line. TA isn't the tallest QB, of course he's gonna throw it to a spot if he can't see their guy.
On a day when we are gashing them on the ground, why not run more?
Then after multiple runs we call a f'ing stupid screen.
Do we need a passing game? Yes. But do we need to be a pass first team to win? No.
Langs is trying to force a square peg through a round hole.
Lets run out the clock. This is the best our D has looked all year. Run the ball ... no turnovers and we win.Nice kick, hey, I'll take any points we can get on drives as long as our defense is stopping them.
He good now?It sure is, the surgeon said another 30 minutes and the leg would have been amputated. It is unbelievably painful, and the pain meds do not work. My son was in so much pain he asked the doctor to amputate. Very scary.Compartment syndrome is some nasty stuff.Agree, no need to risk taking a second hit in the same spot. My son took a nasty hit on his thigh, came back and got hit in the same spot, and ended up with compartment syndrome, that took two surgeries to fix.Go get 'im in the hot tub and get him rested up for Iowa

Reading comprehension FTW!
You obviously have no f'ing clue what you are talking about. No INT is ever on a coach, players either make or don't execute the plays that are called. Execution is on the players, not the coaches. And you are foolish if you are going to blame the players and completely absolve this coaching staff. Purdue has the worst running defense in the NCAA. So what do we do? Throw the ball all game.Oh dear lord, you are freaking GD ridiculous. No doubt in my mind we beat Purdue of we just RUN THE DAMNED BALL. Coaching cost us that game. Not Fyfe. There is no doubt in my mind that we beat Purdue by 20+ points if TA plays the Purdue game.As much as we live and die by TA, and I hate that, he's all we got, he goes down and we're screwed against Iowa and probably this game. I doubt we lose to Purdue if he's in there during that game to be honest.
And today, we are going into the wind and go to air raid mode with a 21 point lead at the end of a half. Yeah, those INts are on the coaches.
Yep, and I got excited to hear there is another brown coming up!Drew Brown is turning into a really good kicker.
Other than a massive scar from the knee to the hip on the right side of his leg, he is back to 100%He good now?It sure is, the surgeon said another 30 minutes and the leg would have been amputated.
