I believe in the power of the jinx. With Nebraska it goes back to at least 1984, when Jeff Smith and the headline "Big Red Machine" showed up on SI just days before losing to...... Syracuse.

Ahman Green was on the cover the week of the 19-0 Arizona State clusterf-ck.

And the worst of all..... 2001, Eric Crouch, Thanksgiving week.

Offhand there may be more but none could be more egregious than these three, some of the most mystifying losses in our long and sordid history

Well, I have an Iowa fan at my work place and he wore his Iowa Hawkeye shirt. It was fun trash talking...........................I can not wait till I get to my seat at Memorial Stadium.....................GBR!! Beat those bird brains!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 
I'll be there, loud and proud, I think we have a good chance at winning, but I'm not trash talking. Those Iowa football boys are good. I hate Hawkie fans, but I don't hate their team so much....

To the last second of the game....GO BIG RED!!!!!
