65 degrees out this afternoon. That's about as good as it gets for the Midwest in December. I felt mildly guilty when I took off to play golf at 2:00pm and left my wife doing yard work. I felt even more guilty when I got back at 4:00pm and she was just finishing up the leaves. So I got her a glass of icewater.
First hole, I hit a nice drive and pitch and was on in two, to within 10 feet. Three putted for a bogey.
I actually struck the ball pretty well all day, considering I've played only once in the past two months. But I missed several makable putts. Putting probly cost me four or five strokes. Despite the putting woes I ended up with a 45 for nine holes.
