Yori Resigns Amid Investigation

KFAB /Lincoln Journal Star said Yori was asking staff to lie about her whereabouts in order to make her look better in her custody battle for her son.

By any standards, that would do her in...

not much into posting, but, wouldn't surprise me at all if her "resignation" had more to do with the speculation that coach yori tried to get other staff members to cover for her whereabouts-----related to her divorce proceedings. big mistake. jmo.

Could be a case of strife and stress in personal life spilling over into work life. Happens a lot, and not just in coaching circles....in all walks of professional life. Hope everyone lands on their feet.

Have a friend that was on the scout team a few years back. He would play the Brittney Griner role in practice when they got ready for Baylor. He said he isn't sure where these accusations are coming from and that he really liked her.

On the other hand when it is 10 players and some support staff come forward with concerns is not something to be taken lightly. I don't buy the coddled responses here, if it is well over half the team and some on the staff that isn't some comment on this generation's culture as much as it is on the culture instilled by the HC.
I would volunteer to play the Brittney Griner "role" at night ....her lady is "hot"

In the event there is truth in the reports about her soliciting co-workers to lie about her in legal proceedings regarding her divorce/custody issues, then those types of actions may well be criminal and certainly have serious legal consequences for both Yori and her co-workers, and potentially could drag the entire athletic department into the courtroom as well.

Now, arguably this may have been handled by granting her a leave of absense of some sort while she resolved her domestic problems. But, to let, by all accounts, a very good coach go, the A.D. must have had serious issues. Then, again, Yori may have just come to realize she had to get her personal life in order. She was simply exhausted and frustrated as well.

Yeah, even if Connie is a great lady and all the allegations of being too tough or bullying or whatever are totally bogus, she done goofed with trying to get people to cover for her in her legal battle. That doesn't make her a witch, but that's a serious screw up that has to be met with firing or "resignation".

Ouch. That makes more sense. It sounds like there's not much legs to the allegations, but you never know. It seems more like she was consumed by this very personal matter, and who could blame her.

Hope she gets everything worked out, divorce is a tough deal.

Yori has always been a tough coach who expected a lot from the players. Maybe they'll get a PE teacher from one of the middle schools to replace her so no one's feelings get hurt anymore.

McKewon, as always, had a great rant on this weeks Pick 6 podcast about Connie. Definitely worth a listen.

Sorry to ask this, but can you summarize? Omaha World Herald is doing their paywall s*** again (probably because it's the off-season) and I can't get access to it.
