I think it's always a good idea to compare past opponents we've played to how they play against the top teams in the conference.

October 1st:

Illinois vs Nebraska = 31-16 Nebraska win.

Today:

Illinois vs Michigan = 41-8 Michigan win.

It's not all that helpful. Illinois had a lot more to play for against us. They were coming off a bye week. Michigan has more tape on Lovie's team.

I actually looked up the word "aubtract" thinking I was just ignorant and it meant something.
