Friday night games coming

It's like the New Year's Eve Playoff games all over again. After the ratings flop as bad as the Thu. night games have and fans complain endlessly about it, this will join the Legends and Leaders division names.

Saw something about how Michigan, Ohio St and Penn St wouldnt have to cuz of logistics of over 100,000 ppl. Please, What the hell is the difference of that to 90,000? That many ppl 10k dont make a bit of difference.

Just picture it. Think about downtown Lincoln on gameday.

think about it on a typical 5pm on a weekday.

Now class the two.

THIS IS NOT POSSIBLE.

Big Ten athletic directors met today with the heads of seven high school athletic associations -- Indiana, Iowa, Maryland, Michigan, Nebraska, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin -- and two NFHS representatives to discuss Friday night football games and other topics. The Big Ten is proceeding with a limited schedule of Friday games.

Nebraska/Illinois this year will be on a Friday, and Nebraska will have 1 home Friday game within the 3 year window.

Gary Sharp had an interesting idea this morning: move Friday night games that will be scheduled against the Nebraska game to the following Saturday, and play them at Memorial Stadium. Have an all-day marathon from 11 until 7, and play 3-4 games. I'd do it for the Lincoln schools since they would be the most affected by the Husker game on Friday.

that is really a fun idea honestly.

You could load it up with premier games, too, and make a real event out of it. SE vs. SW, NW vs. High, and cherry pick a Class B game between like Skutt/Gretna or Pius/Beatrice.

That'd be great. Bill it as "Rivalry Weekend"

I doubt that Nebraska will ever play a Friday home game. The B1G already moved 2 games on the original Friday schedule to Saturday

Lincoln schools are not the only ones affected by this. I sit at our HS games with a lot of people that then head to Lincoln either Friday after the game or the next morning.....plus, the people that will then stay home and watch the Huskers on TV instead of going to the HS game.

Still think this is the dumbest damn scheduling decision in a very very very long time.
