Pretty solid start to an offer list for a Nebraska '19 guy. Looks like Iowa, ISU, Minnesota, and Ohio.Burke LB
One of the best in-state talents in 2019. Dad played baseball at Iowa. If we want to be serious about this, we need to get moving.Burke LB
In a class that will be as big as next year's - yes.Just to be clear:
Everyone would be fine with offering this kid this early and potentially securing a commitment with the possibility that we might have to turn down a higher rated player a year from now?
Regardless of class size there is risk with offering an in-state prospect this early (unless they are Cam Jurgens). I'm not saying I disagree that we should offer him (he looks like a good OLB prospect)...but there are ramifications if we are full next year's class at his spot and a high caliber guy wants in.In a class that will be as big as next year's - yes.Just to be clear:

This may force us to show our hand early and if so, so be it. Just can't expect to yank the offer or make it non-committable like you can other prospects.
