You can be mad about it, but the same happened to us. 

Michigan would not have been a Q1 win (earlier in the season) if we had beat them in the tourney. 

Probably not true. That's what some people said on BTN, but the RPI predictor said they would be 30th, which still would have been a quad 1 win, albeit barely.

This part has bugged me a lot with Oklahoma.  If you actually look at their resume, their best non conference wins rank like this:

1. @ Wichita State - really good road neutral site win

2. USC - they are on the bubble

3. Oregon - they won't make the tournament

4. Northwestern - they were terrible this year

just a slight technicality fix.

Yes, he sounds like me making arguments now. (Non-RPI/Q1 believer)

But we only lost to kansas by 1!

but we only lost to Ohio state by 5!

but we only lost to Illinois and Penn state because of flukes!

Eh, I guess I don't see it.  Someone asked him what part of Michigan State's resume had them ahead of Michigan.  He gave a snarky - but true - answer that they finished ahead of them in the B1G, which is one part of having a better season.

When comparing two teams in the same conference, I would think that would be one way to determine who's had the better year.
