Doesn't matter if he's 1 year or 2 years. If he leaves after his Jr year it's probably because he played really well for us.

True.

You obviously see this a lot with basketball, but with so many transfers now in football it's happening a lot, too.....you take these cases thinking one year, then glad you got two. Not the other way around.

The economics of the NFL Draft now are such that there isn't such a thing as staying around and waiting to improve draft position because such a thing hardly matters with the low salaries in rookie contracts. It's about getting drafted, making a team and starting that clock to get to your real contract, which is the second one, where you now have negotiation power. That's why a kid like this is trying so hard not to sit out a year.

Name sounds familiar.  Did we offer him out of HS?

Edit:  Looked at 247.  Doesn't look like it.

I’m all aboard on this dude. Even if he doesn’t end up at Nebraska, I’ll still root for him, he’s someone for others to look up to.

Did you watched his highlights?  Have you seen our CB depth chart?

I did and I have.  Yeah he looks pretty good covering receivers from Kent St and similar schools.  But can he cover Big 10 receivers?  I don't know.

Listen, if our coaches think this kid can play, fine...but he ended up at Bowling Green for a reason.

In the highlight video it shows games against Northwestern and Michigan State. He almost had a INT against Northwestern and had a fumble return for a touchdown against Michigan State. So, I think he can match up with the big ten just fine.

Also, players do develop in college. He might not have been the best prospect coming out of high school, but he has turned himself into a pretty good player. Heck Jerry Rice went to Mississippi Valley State. Just because you go to a small school doesn't mean you can't develop into a good player.

Did u?  He played 2 B1G teams on it.  Khalil Mack must have not been very good bc he went to buffalo.

The speed difference, for the most part, between WR's from the MAC and a P5 School are similar...the big difference would probably be the QB's and their release and accuracy/arm strength

Well we'll see what happens.  For the record, I am okay with the coaches offering this kid if they think he can play.  CB is definitely a position of need.  I'm just a little leery of accepting a G5 player after the Tanner Lee incident.  And yeah I know, different positions, different schools, different coaches/circumstances, yadda, yadda, yadda.
