Do you complain about where the stadium got it’s name from? The gesture isn’t for you and it won’t affect your viewing experience. It's just another opportunity to insert gratuitous militarism into the game.

But it’s cool when they give Adam DeVine/Suh/Larry the Cable Guy/other various sporting teams/ etc. screen time?Quite frankly I think it likely will, at least somewhat. Between the frequent flyovers, pauses to honor various vets, anthem, military sponsorship of the games, etc., it's turning into a virtual war love-fest. It's nothing new - been a long time in the making - but this is just one more example. I'm sure this will be featured along with the others already featured. I just wish UNL would let the game be the game.
The neat thing about our country is that the military doesn’t choose when to go to war. Maybe if you associated military with protection and defense rather than war it might help. Few people, and probably less so for those that serve, like war.Quite frankly I think it likely will, at least somewhat. I think 1 minute of your time isn’t more important than the people burying empty caskets. It likely would’ve been 1 more minute of commercials anyway.
