I assume this is going to become a hot topic here soon to see who is going to get theirs burned.

Looks like we might be able to use a redshirt on D. Thomas as he is sidelined and can still play in 1 more game.

Jurgens is now a redshirt.

Appears for now that Dixon will be redshirted.

Wouldn't they still want him to play in 4 games this season? Northwestern would be a good game to get his feet wet at a position of need as they have shifted significantly to a passing offense with the retirement of Larkin.

That's kinda what I was thinking.  I mean, you can play a player in four games, and still redshirt him, so why wouldn't you play a player in said four games?

That could be... but I think they are trying to put good weight on him.

If he’s gonna play 4 games and he is as advertised a better cover LB... which 4 games you gonna choose?

Ohio State-need athletic LB on field

Iowa- Need athletic LB to try and cover Fant and Hockinson

BC - Great game to get a bunch of confidence.

Michigan State- might need another baller that day?

I would replace BC with NW since we need speed at OLB to cover their spread attack. 

 
Word from Dewitt is that Dixon will play in 4 of the last 5 games.

There is a possible boost to our defense, hope he can not jump off-sides.

That's a name i forgot about. He did some really nice things last year. I feel very comfortable with where our defensive line will be with another off season. I hope he truly is good with it. He'll be a big deal for the defense in the next 2 hopefully 3 years.
