They are horrible.  Like I said before they would be lucky to end up with 15 wins...now I am thinking they will be lucky to get 10 wins.  I can't wait for Underwood to be replaced.

Illinois isn’t as bad as their record.  Frazier is a beast when healthy.  We need to put them away early and not let them linger around.  They usually play us close too.

He remembers that first call fondly at the Coliseum, a 78-65 win over Wichita State. He remembers the cigarette smoke at the top of the arena, the lights on the floor, the scene reminiscent of a heavyweight title match.

He loved that call.

And if he’s being honest, he’s loved every one in between, too. Even during the tough years. Being a Nebraska basketball fan sometimes feels like a curse, he’s said, but each game has still been a dream. He doesn’t have a favorite Husker team, or a favorite play or a favorite call. If you twist his arm, he’d say the 2014 Wisconsin win. No Sit Sunday.

But Nebraska’s win over Clemson on Monday, that was as much fun on the mic as Pavelka's ever had, he said. Which wasn’t a surprise if you listened. His call of Marquise Reed’s key travel in the final seconds was shared in Twitter all week, and his yell of “Dagger!” after Thomas Allen’s 3 was repeated on radio shows.

He’s gone from a boy in the rafters to the man in the headset boys aspire to be. Part of the fabric of Nebraska basketball.

Basically killed our our late momentum last year in Champaign...

This needs to be another 20+ point win.

Its only going to happen though if the team comes out focused and reflecting them from the start.

come out early and make a statement.

The Illini are not better than their record shows.  There is a reason that they are 12 point dogs.

They let up 55% FG's and put the opposing team on the line about 30+ times a game.  They have no inside presence at all.  They will press and pressure all game so expect the Skers to have 15+ turnovers.

This game will go like this...Big Husker lead that gets trimmed to about 6...but in the end the Huskers will pull away and win...87-72

Conference game. I know it's Illinois and Illinois is 2-5 and on paper, Nebraska is clearly the better team. But it seems like, more than any other sport, college basketball has more crazy swings and unexpected results.

Huskers can't afford to be looking past Illinois or not preparing for them with respect. Remember, we lost to them the last time we played them.
