I don't believe that's how the law works, but in this case, it doesn't really matter.
He didn't delete it immediately or contact the authorities. Regardless of the legal minutia, he's in deep ****.

This right here. I'd like to hear from Washington first, but I don't want anyone like this anywhere near the team.Receiving it on his phone isn't the guilty part.
Keeping it and sending it to the girl and calling her a hoe is the guilty part.
Legally wrong.
Morally wrong.
The question has to be, what legal penalty will he face? And what's an appropriate team punishment for that legal penalty?
15 or 16 i believe if i know my math rightNow you're getting closer.
Question....and it may not have a huge bearing on the outcome. But, how old was he when this was happening?

Let’s let the kid have his day in court. Yes this looks extremely bad and it all could be true, but he is innocent until proven guilty. What else can be said? :dunno
But there were no sexual assault charges though. She didnt file a report after the incident.I don't believe that's how the law works, but in this case, it doesn't really matter.

Old enough to be charged. Twice.
I can't agree with this. He did what he did. And he knows he did it. If he didn't know it would possibly go down as child porn charges, I can understand that. But what he did was wrong on many other levels beyond the legal one.Agreed, which is why I'm generally alright with him playing last year while it was merely an accusation.
Now? Action needs to be taken until the court case is settled.
