Craziest Husker related football story you have heard?

Bo Pelini while coaching at Nebraska would come down to Ft. Myers Beach every year and stay at the condo of a very influential and very wealthy OSU booster.  He was taken on fishing charters, and golf outings.  I sure meals as well.

The same booster told me that they were either going to hire Urban Meyer or Bo.  

I also know that Bo after the Wisconsin blowout loss in BIG title game blamed the loss on our players lack of talent.

I still think we can or will hear more about the Billy C days and I think we will hear a ton more about the Riley years.  Not that there will be something horrible  but just more like what a clusterf#&% things were.

The Frazier / Sapp story is cited here, and although it may just be reiterating an urban legend, it's told as if it happened.

Never heard that about LP. Not hard to believe, though.

Never heard that about Chad May. I would 100% believe it, though. The team did NOT like KSU in the 1990s. 

The Pederson thing... eh.

I've watched that play a lot, and Fryar does appear to deliberately drop the ball.

I’ve always felt Fryer was on the take for that game

He beat up his girlfriend in college.

He was also recently arrested for mortgage fraud.   Once a fraud always a fraud.

It is very difficult to watch that clip and not think something was up. #1 overall picks don’t drop gimmes like that in a National Title game. I’m curious if there was some funny business going on with Rozier too. The most electric offense that college football has ever seen suddenly has two of their top 3 players go silent in the biggest game.

Wasn't there something about the Miami coach showing up to a Husker practice before the Orange Bowl in '84. Didn't he also come in on a helicopter? Thought I saw it on a 30 for 30 but it was so long ago it could have been Miami's practice. 

Deonte Williams not coming within 50 yards of Diaco at practice is always hilarious. 

Shawn Eichorst making police escort Suh and his buddy out of the locker room. Why would a former player not be allowed to look around when he has his name on the locker room from donating millions of dollars to the University? There will probably be a lot more stories on SE but I know he had a "no energy vampires allowed" sign in his room. Also, SE needing security with him just to tell current players he fired Bo is a good one because why would you need security during a meeting with players for 15 minutes. 

Another one is the Peter brothers would just leave a little mark from a sharp object on the back of someone's neck. They did this because they knew someone wasn't giving 100 percent effort.  Not sure if this is right but I know I heard this somewhere. Or they would hurt you in some way if you weren't trying hard enough.

The thing I remember about the KSU game is Chad May accused Christian Peter of poking his eyes while they were under the pile.

He was arrested at his girlfriends place, which was my neighbor at the time!  And yes, I was home the night they arrested him.
