I've been saying that same thing about the swing pass since LAST year. It has never, ever worked, so why do they continue to run it?

Stubbornness pure and simple, our wide receivers suck at blocking so we can never run that! Nevermind the receivers are constantly running into their blockers while trying to catch the pass!
