There are 100% events in Nebraska - I know several high schools with programs. I don't know if (think?) it Is NSAA sponsored, but schools take athletes to compete.

Don't remember having weight lifting competitions when I was a high schooler...Is this happening in Nebraska now?

It is not sponsored by the NSAA.  As I have a friend that works there and confirmed it.

They no longer kick off indoors for fear of damaging the walls....
