Illinois was bad last year.

Illinois had to make in game adjustments in losing their starting QB.

illinois has a first year head coach.

Nebraska is in year 4 of Frost.

Nebraska has a 4 year starter at QB.

Exactly.  This crap needs to be out of the game.  Changed the whole momentum.  We have a great football play with an Int. Refs gifted Illinois.  Absolutely awful.

This team is a reflection of the coaching staff.  Not discipline so stupid mistakes that cost you games.  It will not change until the coaching staff does

This is exactly what I mean when I say you can't believe anything the coaches say. All they're doing is pacifying the fan base by telling them what they want to hear. Then the season starts, and it's the same old problems.
