Northwestern: What Did We Learn?

And we could've easily hung 70+ on them, if we didn't put in backups and let the clock wind down on every play in the 4th.

I love watching Zavier Betts with the ball in open space. Man, he is a long-strider and covers so much ground in a quick amount of time. He covers nearly 5 yards with 2 steps.

I learned actually I didn't learn already knew option works but nay sayer's to the option learned something!

Also loved the 84 yd punt!

i learned it is possible to go to a "what did we learn" thread and not have anything negative being said about the team.

When you have some time to let the play develop and you can trust your receivers to make a play, you can push the ball deep and see what happens.

I learned that all our problems are coaching issues. The talent is there but some of our coaches were trusted without supervision. Example given, Greg Austin. It took Frost practicing with them to fix their issues. It is sad that Frost let things get so bad before finally deciding to interfere and make some changes. Can you imagine what our record would have been if these changes were made after the Illinois game? Obviously Greg Austin is not a good coach and we need a dedicated ST coach to keep working with these guys. Sky is the limit if we keep playing like we did tonight. I hope this continues and carries into next game. Coaching changes are needed for this to continue. I hope that Frost realizes this now.
