Memorial Stadium Turf Being Replaced

The view from the top of East Stadium is incredible. In fact it's significantly better than the view from the first 30 or so rows on the lower bowls of East and West.
I never ventured Memorial East upper deck seats but Gaylord field, yes, one time (HS football game).  Similar designs.  In upper deck, can't read jersey numbers without binoculars.

BTW, now added concourse and HUGE Daktronics video board

@Hooked on Huskers I don't think anyone disagrees with you. Grass is fine, turf is fine, it's all fine. We all just realize that no matter our preference, we're not going to change the minds of the admins who put the surface on the field.

I would prefer natural grass with red endzones.

We all agree that field "look" happens a couple steps  down below, winning.

Sweet... Husker at OU camp!  It's funny you quote knapplec because yall are about the same age or so, and profile!  Do you mention reddit a lot too, or Twitter?  Keep hanging in there Hook... GBR
OU tailgates are great experiences.

And reddit thing, never. And twitter, don't like it (mostly)

You are right. I pictured Kingdome type.

Anyhow .....

  • Rejected plans for an AT&T style roof (Jerry's world) during the early stages of the stadium's design.
  • The 1997 state referendum stated that the stadium would feature a natural grass surface, but artificial turf was installed because it was easier to maintain than natural grass. The potential damage to a natural grass field caused by Seattle's frequent downpour rain

Entertainment in Memorial TV timeouts and halftime break, from NU pom-pom dance   to acrobat cheerleaders ....
