Have we become the laughing stock?

We might win the underachiever award this year, but I don't think we've become a laughing stock yet. I'm just guessing, but if you want to see ugly wait until the week before the KState game and CU game.

 
We could have easily become the laughing stock, but on the same token it's too easy to do so. Everyone is taking their shots at us because we clobbered them and embarrassed them in the 90s, and heck...probably before then too. It's too easy now for anyone and everyone to use us as the butt of a joke, or as the joke, heck...for just about anything. We'll have to get used to it for the rest of the year. Our team isn't doing anything about it otherwise, we all have to take our fair share of blows just like everyone else did. But it's never fun.

 
The laughing stock of Texas Fan, maybe, but then again Texas Fan isn't anything to be too proud of.

Their opinion matters little to me. Meh.

 
It's all irrelevant come kickoff time. I'm sure the UT faithful are just having some fun, no different than here on the board with us against others teams.

With that said... GO HUSKERS!!! BEAT TEXAS!!! :w00t

Please don't judge Texas fans by what you read on Hornfans (of which I'm a member). Most Texas fans want Nebraska to be good because we are also fans of good football. College football needs Nebraska to be good and The Big12 needs Nebraska to be good.

I don't think Nebraska is a laughing stock. We're empathetic to your situation because we've been there and we know what your going through. We've seen our own blowouts at home...the embarrassing road losses etc. Hopefully it wont take you 4 coaches and 35 years to get back on top. (Don't get me started!)

Until then we'll wait for you.....see you in Lincoln in 2011 !!!

I live in Chicago and there are lots of people who call or email every week to remind me of another Nebraska loss, or problem. They are all very bitter about Nebraska, in a way that tells me that they are all very mindful of our traditions, successes, etc. I'll really become worried when they stop giving me crap about Nebraska's struggles.

 
I poked through their message board and didn't see anything too severe. I did like their future HC at Nebraska thread. I can't believe they were bringing up Craig Bohl, but hey they follow our program about as close as I follow theirs. It seemed pretty decent to me.

 
From the non-Nebraska fans I know, and when you read the national media about the Huskers, it isnt a sense of a laughing stock. It comes off more as pity. One thing I hear quite a bit of is that it isnt even fun to make fun of the losses. They say it is like kicking an injured animal.
