HIs son is a high school boy, who spent 12 hours driving from New Jersey to Charlotte on Saturday, and then flew from Charlotte to Lincoln (yes, on a private jet) this morning.  He's probably just tired.

Rhule did a good job of trying to temper expectations of NU fans.  That was a smart choice to say that NU has been at 3 and 4 wins the past two years to set the baseline of what he's taking on.

In fairness, Tom Osborne's great gifts did not extend to his podium presence, especially in his younger days. I think his nerdish preference for understatement, monotone, and low-charisma speeches became part of his charm. 

Honestly, every new Husker coach says all the right things and I was pretty jacked by Frost's glory days presentation in 2017. 

But Rhule seems really right for right here and right now and I'm happy to run with that.
