The Nebraska Cornhusker Curse- we know the effect but the opinions on the cause?

Untimely fumbles, interceptions, penalties, high snaps, are all part of the effect of the "curse" which, in my opinion, started after firing Frank Solich and developed into a pandemic after firing Pelini. Was it bestowed upon us by the Football Gods for the crime of firing a coach with a winning season? Or was it a way of punishing an entitled and sometimes ill-tempered fan base to accept an inept football existence?

 
poor leadership at all levels of the university.  some not even at the same time, but the have fed off each other to get us to this point.

It is said that any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.  That basically sums up how I feel sometimes about Nebraska football being cursed.  :lol:

First of all, if you actually believe in curses like this....that's kind of weird.  It's a fun joke/idea for fans to throw around...other than that, it's just.....no.

If by unlucky, you mean we are unlucky to be fans of a program that was once great but fell onto hard times due to horrible mismanagement at the top that thought that strategic planning and management wasn't needed to keep the program great so we ended up hiring absolutely horrible coaches and took some time where resources weren't allocated correctly to the program....along with hiring a coach that thought it was more fun to hang out at the bars downtown hitting on co-eds....instead of actually managing and coaching the team.....well....yeah...we as fans are kind of unlucky.

Hopefully, that luck is turning around.

Those numbers are expected outcomes based on probable win percentages during games.  Basically it is saying with how we performed, the numbers/probabilities say we should have won 8.1 games, but we managed to snatch defeat from victory with our late game antics.

I don't believe in curses, I believe we made this s#!tty bed that we have to sleep in every night.

HOWEVER, if there was an event that started the curse, it isnt Solich firing.  Its the god damn flea kicker catch between frosty and davidson against missouri in 97.  While we won the title that year, that play zapped every single source of good luck/good will out of progrum for good in order to make that happen and keep the 97 season alive.  Its the only way to explain the title that never was in 99 and the decline from elite that we witnessed beginning in the last month of 2001.  

Everyone knows curses abide by Newton's 3rd law of physics.  A curse this vicious couldve only been born by something magnificent and extraordinary- that fateful evening in columbia in 97 cursed us all to this day
