Wouldn't mind seeing NYY vs LA Dodgers World Series.  Kinda has that feeling.

Although, the Phillies will have something to say about that.

And even though they are 5 games below .500 right now, somehow someway the Houston Astros will be in it at then end of the season again, and pissing me off again.

Seems like a 2-3 double play to end the game with the winning run on probably doesn't happen very often.

A's pitcher Sean Newcomb's line Friday:

0.1 innings pitched, 0 batters faced, 2 pitches, 0 strikes, 0 hits, got the W

Picked off a runner at first base and gets a win for it.  No official batters faced because the at bat wasn't over.

What I read, said he had two strikes on the batter.

Someone should respond to "baseball's greatest moments" and inform them they said this incorrectly.

It should have said...

"There are reasons why that MLB’s all-time hits leader (Pete Rose), all-time HR leader (Barry Bonds), and all-time Cy Young leader (Roger Clemens) are all NOT in the Baseball Hall of Fame.   ;)

Fergie is off the hook for the worst national anthem of all time!

After a widely panned performance of the U.S. national anthem at the MLB Home Run Derby, country singer Ingrid Andress apologized Tuesday and said she was drunk.

"I'm checking myself into a facility today to get the help I need," she posted on social media. "That was not me last night. I apologize to MLB, all the fans, and this country I love so much for that rendition."

She is now tired for 2nd with Rosanne Barr.

This isn't the first time a performance of the national anthem has been panned. In the pantheon of controversial renditions of the national anthem at sporting events, Roseanne Barr's performance at a 1990 San Diego Padres game and Fergie's at the 2018 NBA All-Star Game resulted in similarly negative reactions.
