UTEP Week Pressers

I thought the story last year was the -OR-s were listed in alphabetical order.  But that's not the case at RB.  Of course, they are in numerical order.  But neither is the case at other positions.

Just trying to read in way more than I probably should.

I thought they were listed by height.

Malachi Coleman now listed at 6'5".

The staff clearly loves this whole "Bonner at slot receiver" thing. Definitely something that makes me really curious to see what we actually line up and do on Saturday (inb4 the "we won't show much in the first game" trope).

Bonner and Nelson both being there made me wonder if the Slot position was closer to being a hybrid TE type position the way were were going to use it here.  But IGC being there doesn't seem to be in the same mold.

I think the goal is a Cooper Kupp type who is big enough (and willing) to crack LBs and edge guys, but still be a mismatch against slot corners. He obviously has a very unique skillset that we're not going to be able to replicate and IGC is definitely the outlier, but I think we're just looking for receivers who can block in the box - not just on the perimeter. Can't say I've seen enough IGC to know what he can do there, but just on paper he's a little underwhelming as an outside guy too. I'm sure we'll also see guys like Lloyd and Barney lined up in what is technically a slot position, not sure how that distinction works with different formations.

I think DBs are a good group

with all the Monopoly money getting tossed around, how do we not spend out the arse on a kicker- maybe even two.  One old and one young.  Is there one position that affects a season more than a PK?

tackle scares me. Not because I know anything, but because I’ve never heard of them.

There are a lot of positions more important than PK, especially if they help you avoid close games.
