USC game. What did we learn

We don’t have a killer instinct. We can’t grasp a game and take control on either side of the ball

USC wanted it more. They showed up in the 4th quarter and we didn’t

I would like to apologize to everyone I've argued with about playing HH over raiola. Raiola needs to be benched the last 2 game. He has no shot at getting this team to a bowl game.

We got torched by the counter trey and they sealed it running option.

Someone better check on TO and see if he had a heart attack.

1.  Matt Rhule still sucks.  He is 21-39 in his last 5 seasons as a head coach.

2.  Tony White is not a good DC. His defense gave up 450 yards of offense to a team with a new QB.

3.  Raiola is not as good as we thought.  He continues to buckle under pressure.

4.  Believe it or not the only area of the program that has improved is special teams.

5.  We have had 3 head coaches since 2015, and Mike Riley was the best of those three. Let that sink in.

I didn’t notice any difference in the play calling. Maybe it’s Raiola at this point.

A better O-line doesn't matter. A 5 star QB doesn't matter. A new OC doesn't matter, nothing matters other than whatever vague undetectable influence that results in this program being inherently snakebitten in a way that transcends the sum of all the variables.

Silver lining is that Dylan looked closer to comfortable and confident than he has the last 4 games (not saying his performance was great).

Does that matter? No. Nothing matters. But I’m a fake fan if I don’t find some delusion.

Our plays from the old Osborne/Solich Nebraska playbook still work...for the other team.

USC gashed Nebraska with the counter play, and Riley called very well timed option plays.

Matt Rhule is officially on the hot seat.

  • You can't be sitting at 5 wins each season with multiple chances to get to a bowl game and not make a bowl game.
  • His game/clock management is baffleing.
  • He is now 0-6 in November.

Coach Rhule  has two chances left this season to get Nebraska to a bowl game this year, but he is officially on the hot seat.

The last time Nebraska won its 6th game of a season was October 15th 2016! (Credit to Dirk Chatelain for this info.)
