From what I gather, Hungary is the easy comparison as far as a far-right authoritarian seizing control and leading a government overhaul of the countries institutions and culture to push their views. Orban is also a well-established Putin bootlicker.

It’s a pretty good comparison IMO because it’s the same playbook the GOP will likely try to use here: purging of career civil servants for loyalists, crackdowns on what is taught at universities, threatening/punishing press who don’t tow the line, etc. It’s all in Project 2025 and those FedSoc weirdos are the ones at the wheel.

Can’t speak too much to their culture there but as far as the economy…

Well, OK MTG.   That should be the way it goes anyway.   Any ethics committee investigation should be publicized and any payoff while in office should be publicized.  
you shouldn’t have to threaten this in order to “protect” Gaetz.   It should be done regardless.

Someone please check.   I think Hell froze over and pigs were flying.....     one time I agree wt MTG.  Make it all public.  Our money, our elected officials.

LOL...it's like we have months long conversations here, then you're asked a question and it's like you have never been a part of the conversations.

Basically, look at what's been written in Project 2025.

Cut 2.5 trillion out of the federal budget.

Completely eliminate departments in the government.

Privatize programs like Medicare.

Deport 10 million people where many of those are in our workforce.

Putting people in charge of our healthcare system, food and drug safety systems...etc. that don't have expertise nor believe in the science needed and have the goal of totally ripping apart the system.

Purging military leadership that isn't totally loyal to the President and replacing them with people that are.....and don't have the expertise and experience typically needed for the job.

Purging thousands of federal employees (because they haven't pledged loyalty to the President) from the federal workforce that are experienced and educated in what they do.

Purposely tear down the economy so this administration can rebuild it.

All of these things seem like the goal by who he has put in place in his cabinet. These are items that have been stated by either the President directly or the people he is putting in place.
