Trump’s Accomplishments…at levels never seen before (2025 version)

So just to be clear; the guy who told us Project 2025 was liberal hysteria doesn't want us to get our panties in a bunch just because President Trump is doing everything by the Project 2025 handbook.

How many egg farm or factory employees are kids?

FYI...I agree with you on kids not needing $16 per hour.  But, if the people looking to hire them need to offer that to get them...well....
I have no idea but Target and Wal Mart and Hy Vee hire tons of kids, so as they have to pay them more the prices of everything else in the store goes up too.  My guess is that farmers (I am guessing htat is where eggs come from) still do all the can to not pay anything even close to a good wage because they are the cheapest people in the world.

But still as things keep going up in price because of stupid wages for kids, it impacts everything.

Egg farmer has to spend more to buy his stuff so now his eggs will cost more.  Target has to pay their teen workers more so now those prices go up.

Five Guys Burger and Fries.  ALMOST 20 dollars! For a buger, fries and drink.

Insane take when inflation has outpaced wages exponentially for decades. Maybe instead of saying it's stupid to pay people 16 dollars an hour we focus the blame on execs and shareholders who are getting exponentially more wealthy while squeezing the little guy more and more.
No, it is the correct take and like I said it should only apply to HS kids who live at home and are NOT helping their family with bills.

5 years ago prices were pretty much totally fine and normal, the only thing that changed was the insane idea that a HS kid needs 18 dollars an hour so that he can fill up his new Bronco that his parents bought him.

And trust me, people should try and make as much money as they can, period.  I do not blame anyone for trying to make more.

I do blame morons that pushed for kids making 16 dollars an hour and morons that pay them that much but the kids should try and get all they can!

Exactly this. Oh no he isn't going to do all this fascist bs he said he's gonna do. Oh it's fine we have a nazi oligarch in charge of a government agency. Oh, this fascist bs that I said he wasn't going to do is actually good for this country. Just cover your eyes and close your ears and everything will be ok.

From the director of NIH himself.

So...dismantle the pandemic response team, pull out of the WHO and drastically cut back on internal research on infectious diseases.  That sounds wonderful for preparing for the next pandemic.

Bird flu is laughing at us.
My sister is a stats professor in the MN University System.  She does a lot of work for scientific studies helping them with with statistics and such.  She has a scientist friend that is actually on the NIH payroll.  She was told by her friend that it is even worse than what the media is actually reporting.  It was a quick text from my sister, so I didn't get specifics, I guess I'll call her later...

You are wrong and it's funny how the billionaires who get rich denying healthcare coverage and faking their genius have convinced people it's ok they make more while everyone else doesn't. Purchasing power has crumbled in the last 40 years and no one pays for it more than you and me and the high school kids who don't have parents at home with good jobs. Maybe those kids have someone relying on them.

Again, we agree!  Those HS kids that have someone relying on them SHOULD get more.  And every person SHOULD try to make as much as they can.

But also, it is insane if you think a HS kid with two great parents, tons of extra money, help from his parents and so on...needs 16-18 an hour, well you are part of the HUGE problem.

Again again, I am ALL for everyone making as much as they possibly can.

Dang it!  @Nebfanatic  A.I. agrees with you and thinks it is not insane!

It’s definitely striking, but it’s a reflection of the current labor market. High wages for fast food jobs in some areas are often driven by factors like labor shortages, higher costs of living, and competition among employers to attract workers. Whether or not these students need the money isn't usually a factor in determining pay—it’s about what the market demands and what employers are willing to pay.

On the flip side, it can feel surprising when teenagers with no financial obligations are earning what might have been considered a "high" wage for entry-level work not too long ago. That said, it’s not "insane"; it’s just the way economies and job markets evolve. Plus, for the students, it's a great way to learn responsibility and gain independence.

The bigger problem is that Donald Trump thinks he may have lost the election because of Covid
He did.  I don’t know of many impartial people who don’t believe that Covid pandemic caused him to lose the election.  He was well on his way to reelection.

although he originally wanted credit for fast-tracking the vaccine he found political power in demonizing vaccines
I have always thought he continues to say Operation Warp Speed was a great accomplishment and most ardent base was annoyed that Trump kept touting the vaccine.

It wouldn't have been magic and it wouldn't have skipped over us. If you have to rely on ridiculous extremes it's a pointless discussion.
It’s called being facetious👍

Thing is how do we parse the difference. Do we have kids turn in a parent finance form? At the end of the day I'd rather make sure the people who need it and are willing to work get what they need even if it's at the benefit of high school kids who may not need it.

The top 1% of individual wealth owns 63% of wealth worldwide over the last 2 years. They have more money and more power over the price of eggs than the high school kids wanting to put gas in their Bronco.

That AI response was pretty funny. Not sure how I feel about it agreeing with me...maybe I'm on your side now!

The President did.
Congratulations to him and LOL to anyone who believes prices would come down on day 1.

Are you shocked that political candidates make statements they can’t follow through on :laughpound  Boy have I got some stories to show you over the decades!

The ACTUAL discussion is does his Admin have policies that can HELP get inflation back to 2% and keep it there.
